First Christian Church of Highland

About this church

First Christian Church of Highland is a Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) congregation whose mission is to celebrate and share Christ’s love by feeding body and soul. Sunday life combines a coffeehouse-style gathering place with worship that leans traditional while also including praise choruses. The church describes itself as a community where people can ask questions and think for themselves while growing in Christian faith, care, and service.

Disciples Cafe is open Sunday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m., with coffee, tea, cocoa, and baked items. Worship begins at 10:30 in person and streams through Facebook Live and YouTube. Childcare is provided, and children may either remain in the sanctuary with a busy box or leave for children’s church after the children’s message. Dress ranges from suits to jeans, and the building is wheelchair accessible. The Fifth Street address and phone match the official visit page. Families should check the current children-and-youth page for monthly youth gatherings and seasonal Sunday School rather than assuming those programs run every week.
