New Life Christian Reformed Church

About this church

New Life Christian Reformed Church in Highland worships Sundays at 9:30 a.m., followed immediately by fellowship. Nursery care is available during worship for newborns through age three, and children ages four through second grade can join a child-oriented Worship Center that introduces the practices and seasons of Christian worship. During the school year, Sunday School extends from preschool through twelfth grade. Adults can also find Bible studies and periodic education classes, including sessions that commonly meet from 10:45 to 11:45 after worship.

The congregation was founded in 1953 when members of First Christian Reformed Church formed a new church, first meeting in the local Legion Hall. It built its present home at Fifth and Ridge in 1957 and later expanded community work through outreach staff, after-school tutoring, and youth programs. Formerly named Second Christian Reformed Church, it adopted New Life to reflect renewed attention to local relationships and a mission summarized as Love, Learn, Serve, and Grow. The church remains part of the Christian Reformed Church in North America and identifies with historic Reformed creeds and confessions. It is a strong Highland option for families seeking one worship hour, fellowship afterward, and formation across age groups.
