Living Hope Church

About this church

Living Hope Church's Merrillville campus meets at 9000 Taft Street for Sunday worship at 10:00 a.m. The website also lists a separate Portage campus at 10:30, so Merrillville visitors should use the earlier time. Living Hope Kids serves children from birth through fifth grade with age-specific teaching, games, activities, and small groups. Allergies are marked during check-in, and family spaces near the sanctuary let parents stay connected to the adult message when a child needs them.

Middle- and high-school students meet Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. for a 75-minute youth service, while an elementary midweek gathering also starts at 7:00. The church follows the Assemblies of God's 16 Fundamental Truths and describes itself as Spirit-filled, centered on Jesus, grounded in Scripture, and committed to people. Local outreach includes food distribution, school partnerships, family programs, and coordinated community service projects; global work supports more than 60 missionaries and short-term teams. For a first visit, the campus distinction matters as much as the program list. The official site clearly separates Merrillville's 10:00 service from Portage's 10:30 gathering and explains children's safety, youth timing, beliefs, and mission involvement.
