St. John the Baptist Catholic Church

About this church

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church is a Newburgh parish whose mission is to share Jesus’ mercy and love, serve one another, and walk in other people’s shoes. Parish life includes sacramental preparation, formation for children and adults, perpetual adoration, music, youth groups, hospitality, prayer, social fellowship, and service through food, foster-care, bereavement, Haiti, and St. Vincent de Paul ministries.

Weekend Mass is celebrated Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday at 7:00, 8:45, and 11:00 a.m.; all Masses stream live, and a recorded weekend Mass is posted Monday. Daily Mass meets Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at 7:00 a.m., Thursday at 6:30 p.m., and Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Confession is available before those weekday Masses and Saturday 8:15–8:55 a.m. and 4:00–4:45 p.m., or by appointment. Youth groups serve grades five through twelve: grades five and six meet Tuesday evenings, grades seven and eight Wednesday evenings, and high-school students Sunday evenings, with exact times posted in the calendar. Youth activities require two approved adults, or an approved leader and a participating child’s parent or guardian; leaders complete annual safe-environment training and background checks. Public pages do not specify dress, parking, accessibility, nursery care, children’s check-in, Mass length, or Communion guidance for visitors.
