Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church

About this church

Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church gathers for worship at 10 a.m. Sunday at 101 North Adams Street in South Bend. The congregation also carries the service on WUBS 89.7 FM, Facebook Live, and YouTube, giving homebound members and prospective visitors several ways to participate. Holy Communion is observed on the first Sunday. The published schedule also includes an 8 a.m. online Sunday school and an 8:30 a.m. in-person class, making Bible study available before the main service.

Ministry extends through age-based fellowship, care, and practical service. The church's deacon and deaconess ministries visit and pray with hospitalized members, while other groups organize recurring meetings around prayer, mission, and congregational support. Greater St. John presents these ministries as ways for members to serve rather than merely attend. A newcomer can begin with Sunday worship, listen locally on the radio if needed, or use the livestream before visiting in person; those seeking a smaller setting can connect through Sunday school or one of the ministry groups listed by the church. Recurring events are maintained separately, so the church's current schedule is the best reference for a particular Sunday.
