The Grace Place

About this church

The Grace Place is a South Bend church plant that describes its purpose in unusually local terms: tending to and transforming the community through ministries grounded in the gospel. Its official history says the first service was held on February 16, 2013, after neighborhood invitations brought ninety people to the opening gathering. Today the church meets at 401 South Main Street and presents itself as a place where faith and hope can take root.

The church uses “community restoration” as more than a slogan. Its site highlights a Something Beautiful Again restoration series, opportunities to serve the community, and Grow at Grace Bible study alongside Sabbath-morning worship. That combination may appeal to someone looking for a congregation whose public identity joins spiritual formation with neighborhood wellbeing. The official pages do not provide one clear worship time in the material reviewed, and the events shown can change; first-time guests should therefore use the church’s contact page to confirm the next Sabbath gathering or special series date. What is clear before visiting is the character The Grace Place wants to cultivate: a community-based ministry, open room for people at different points in their faith journey, and an outward-facing commitment to South Bend.
