Heartland Baptist Church

About this church

Heartland Baptist Church in Ames offers identical Sunday morning worship services at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m., with Sunday School for all ages at 10:00. A different evening preaching service begins at 6:00 p.m.; both morning worship and the evening service are livestreamed. Services feature congregational singing, special music, and Bible-based preaching.

Children’s ministry has dedicated pastoral leadership, while the church’s philosophy of ministry and staff pages describe a Bible-centered approach across age groups. The placement of Sunday School between two identical services gives families a practical choice: worship first and study afterward, or attend class before the later service. A first-time household should arrive before 8:30 or 10:00 depending on that plan and ask where each age group meets. Visitors interested in the distinct evening message can return at 6:00 or use the online stream. Wednesday-night programs run during the school year, so their current dates should be confirmed rather than assumed year-round.
