About this church
Lutheran Church of Hope's Ames campus is entering a new chapter in late August 2026. Beginning August 30, Sunday celebration services meet at 9 and 10:30 a.m. in the congregation's new building at 5119 Lincoln Way; the official site states that worship, youth ministry, college ministry, classes, and events will move under that roof. Services combine hope-filled music, a message, and an emphasis on the life-changing love of Jesus. The congregation belongs to Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ and welcomes lifelong Christians as well as people beginning to explore faith.
HopeKids serves children from age three through fifth grade during both Sunday services from September through May, using teaching, music, crafts, and games. Junior-high PowerLife and high-school Ignition gather at separate Sunday-evening times, while Kairos brings college students together Wednesday at 8 p.m. during the school year for worship, groups, and service. Because this profile coincides with an actual relocation, older pages may still show Ames City Auditorium or the former Lincoln Way address. Visitors should rely on the current transition notice: the new facility and the two Sunday times take effect August 30, with a formal dedication scheduled later in September.
