First Baptist Church of Creston

About this church

First Baptist Church of Creston traces its beginning to a Sunday School, a depot sermon in 1871, and organization as a Baptist church with thirteen members in 1872. Across changing buildings and leaders, its mission remains glorifying God by making, maturing, and mobilizing followers of Christ. Two worship services, age-based education, adult fellowships, children’s clubs, youth, prayer, music, and online recordings continue that long local ministry.

The homepage lists Sunday worship at 8:30 a.m., education at 10:00, and family worship at 11:00. The visitor page repeats 11:00 but later prints 8:45 for early worship and 10:15 for the education hour, creating two fifteen-minute conflicts; visitors should confirm the current early schedule. Nurseries serve infants through age two, Joy Ministry serves ages two through kindergarten at the early service, and Sunday School spans age two through high school. Wednesday programs vary by season: school-year children’s choir begins at 6:15, with kids clubs, youth, young adults, and adult study at 7:00; summer programs largely meet from 7:00 to 8:00. Families should check the current seasonal calendar rather than combine both schedules.
