St. John's Lutheran Church

About this church

St. John’s Lutheran Church is a Le Mars congregation focused on welcoming people, making disciples, trusting Jesus, and equipping leaders to serve. Its ministry includes worship, small groups, Sunday School, a three-year catechism program, high-school youth, choir, handbells, and community outreach. The congregation identifies with both the North American Lutheran Church and Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ. Broadcast options extend worship through Facebook, YouTube, local cable, and a Sunday radio program.

The current homepage lists one blended traditional-and-contemporary Lutheran service with weekly Communion at 9:30 a.m. Older music and worship pages still refer to separate 8:00 or 8:15 and 10:30 services, so visitors should follow the current homepage rather than those ministry descriptions unless the church confirms a schedule change. Cable Channel 12 carries worship Thursday at 6:30 p.m., and KLEM 1410 AM broadcasts the half-hour Fortress of Faith program Sunday at 1:00 p.m. High-school youth meet Wednesday from 8:15 to 9:30 p.m.; seasonal choir rehearsal runs Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30. This profile treats the differing service references as a publishing conflict instead of presenting all three Sunday hours as simultaneous current options.
