First Christian Church of Versailles describes itself as a family of servant missionaries making disciples who make disciples. Sunday worship begins at 9:00 and 11:05 a.m. The earlier gathering uses choir and traditional hymns; the later one is led by a contemporary praise band. Both include prayer, teaching, weekly Communion open to followers of Christ, and a sermon of roughly 25 minutes. Classes for all ages meet between services at 10:10. Children ages four through fifth grade begin the 11:05 service with their families and are dismissed near the sermon, except on fifth Sundays; nursery care through age four is available during worship and classes. Students in grades six through twelve join the main services, meet Sunday from 10:10 to 10:50, and gather Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Parking is distributed along Lexington and South Locust streets and in small church lots, with signs and greeters helping first-time guests navigate the building.
