Calvary United Methodist Church

About this church

Calvary United Methodist Church in Mount Airy worships Sundays at 10:00 a.m. in person and online. Music combines praise-band selections with traditional hymns accompanied by piano or organ; lyrics appear on screens, and hymnals remain available in the pews. This blended format gives visitors both contemporary and historic ways to participate within one United Methodist service.

Children’s, youth, music, care, and mission ministries extend the congregation’s life beyond Sunday. Calvary also serves as a collection hub for United Methodist Committee on Relief disaster-response kits, connecting local participation with relief work elsewhere. A first-time household should arrive before 10:00 for children’s directions or use the online worship option to preview the service. People who prefer printed music can use a hymnal, while those unfamiliar with the songs can follow the screen. The beliefs page explains the church’s United Methodist context. Praise-band participation, children’s programs, youth gatherings, relief-kit drives, and seasonal services use current ministry schedules and should be confirmed before attending.
