St. Barnabas Episcopal Church

About this church

St. Barnabas Episcopal Church worships Sundays at 10:00 a.m. throughout the year, with a YouTube livestream. The Rite II service uses contemporary language from the Book of Common Prayer and includes choir and congregational singing. Organ-led hymns are complemented by the Stone Church Pickers folk ensemble, giving worship a broader musical range than either traditional organ or acoustic music alone. On mild spring days, the parish may occasionally worship outdoors.

Adult and children’s choirs invite musical participation, while Episcopal sacramental teaching frames baptism as entry into Christ’s death and resurrection, forgiveness, new life, and the family of the church. The parish’s phrase “minds to think, hearts to love, hands to serve” connects worship with reflection, compassion, and action. First-time guests should arrive before 10:00 or open the YouTube stream at the same hour. Because an outdoor service may be announced, visitors should check the current notice and weather. Musicians interested in choir or folk music can ask about rehearsal, while families should confirm the children’s choir’s current ages and schedule.
