Awaken City Church is an intergenerational, multiethnic Wesleyan congregation in Boston’s Hyde Park neighborhood. It describes itself as a community of everyday missionaries carrying the hope of Christ into the city. Sunday worship combines music, prayer, giving, biblical teaching, and Holy Communion. Children begin in the intergenerational gathering before moving to a supervised lesson during the sermon, while teenagers may remain in worship and connect with the church’s Boston Young Life partnership on Sunday evenings.

A Monday online group called Wholehearted runs from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. and connects faith with emotional health. Awaken City’s local work includes school, shelter, food-bank, foster-care, and housing partnerships. Its Immigrant Connection office provides citizenship and conversational-English classes, family resource nights, basic-needs help, and accredited low-cost immigration legal services. People may participate without formal membership, while quarterly information sessions explain membership as a step in Wesleyan discipleship. Visitors investigating faith are explicitly invited to bring questions without pressure.
