Second Baptist Church of Ypsilanti

About this church

Second Baptist Church of Ypsilanti is a congregation organizing discipleship around connection, commitment, and community. Worship, church school, Bible study, children’s and youth ministries, transportation, scholarships, deacons, and a volunteer mission ministry connect faith with practical service. That mission work has operated for more than 125 years and supports projects in the Ypsilanti–Ann Arbor area, Michigan, the nation, and overseas.

Church School begins Sunday at 9:00 a.m., followed by worship at 10:45. Wednesday Bible study is offered online at noon and 7:00 p.m., while Wednesday Night Live begins at 6:00. Because the homepage lists both 6:00 and 7:00 Wednesday programs, participants should distinguish the live gathering from the later Bible study rather than treating the times as a contradiction. The selected children’s and youth pages describe ministry but do not publish reliable age divisions or weekly start times, so families should contact the church before depending on a parallel Sunday program. Visitors interested primarily in worship can arrive before 10:45; those seeking classes should plan for 9:00 and consult current announcements around holidays.
