Grace Lutheran Church ELCA

About this church

Grace Lutheran Church gathers for worship Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in Ely, with both in-person participation and a Facebook broadcast. Coffee and treats follow, giving residents and Boundary Waters visitors an easy opportunity for conversation after the service. This Evangelical Lutheran Church in America congregation celebrates Holy Communion every week and welcomes people to the table regardless of religious background or tradition.

Christian education includes Sunday School, day camp, first Communion preparation, confirmation, youth gatherings, and a children’s Christmas service. Social ministries and other service opportunities connect faith with care for neighbors, while worship and music programming supports the congregation’s liturgical life. Grace’s location makes it a practical option for travelers as well as year-round Ely households, and its online service offers a preview before attending. Visitors should arrive before 9:30 if they need help finding seating or children’s activities, then plan to stay for fellowship. Families can consult the education page for seasonal dates because youth programs do not all follow the weekly worship schedule.
