Salem Covenant Church

About this church

Salem Covenant Church in New Brighton offers a traditional service Sunday at 9 a.m. with hymns, liturgy, and choral music, followed by contemporary worship at 10:30 with modern music and a relaxed format. Its Education Hour is paused for summer and resumes in fall. During the school-year schedule, children's and youth classes run from 10:10 to 10:50. Children ages two through second grade can then begin in contemporary worship and leave before the sermon for Flourish Children's Worship from 11 to noon. Wednesday programming from September through May includes dinner from 5:15 to 6:15 and Bible study, Awana, and youth group at 6:30.

The congregation frames its work as equipping all generations to connect, grow, and go. It emphasizes thoughtful engagement with the Bible, intergenerational spiritual growth, and distinct musical expressions within one church. Children's ministry works with families to cultivate love for God, Scripture, and other people. Outreach extends from recurring partnerships in the neighborhood to regional and international missionaries and short-term teams. For a simple visit, the 9 a.m. option is explicitly traditional and 10:30 explicitly contemporary. Households seeking classes should check the season: the published education and Wednesday rhythms do not operate year-round, and Flourish is limited to the youngest elementary ages rather than all children.
