First Presbyterian Church

About this church

First Presbyterian Church of Willmar combines Sunday education and worship with a structured Wednesday Night Live program for children, youth, and adults. Music, mission and outreach, adult study, children’s classes, and hands-on sewing ministries give people multiple ways to learn and serve. The midweek sequence begins with a shared meal, moves into worship, and then divides into programs such as Rainbow Venture, Gospel Rock, Youth Group, Rooted, and nursery care.

Sunday education begins at 9:00 a.m. in age-specific settings, including an adult class in the main-level Friendship Room. Worship follows at 10:00 in person and on YouTube. Wednesday’s women’s coffee, conversation, and Bible study begins at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday Night Live starts with a 5:30 p.m. meal, worship at 6:00, and classes and nursery at 6:30; the children’s and youth pages describe their activities as beginning at 5:30, so families should arrive for the meal rather than only for class. A community sewing group meets on the second and fourth Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. Seasonal and special services are published separately, but the 10:00 Sunday hour remains the ordinary worship schedule. Visitors can use the lower-level room labels on the ministry pages to locate children and youth programs.
