Hams Prairie Christian Church

About this church

Hams Prairie Christian Church near Fulton worships Sunday at 9:00 a.m., with announcements, music, Communion, and a sermon, followed by Sunday School for every age at 10:30. A smaller Wednesday worship gathering begins at 6:30 p.m. with music, preaching, Communion, prayer, and shared praise requests. Nursery care for newborns through age four is available during most services, and Children’s Church for ages five through fourth grade runs during Sunday worship. This combination gives families a simultaneous option for younger children while retaining a full-congregation education hour afterward.

Children in kindergarten through fifth grade can ride the church bus to Wednesday Bible Club from 3:30 to 5:00 for snacks, Scripture, and gym time. Middle-school and high-school youth meet Sunday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. during the school year and take part in community service. Adults have seasonal young-adult and women’s studies, a Tuesday women’s group, and a first- and third-Thursday men’s study. Founded in 1864, the congregation continues to describe itself as Bible-based, mission-minded, and focused on discipleship, using Scripture as its rule of faith and practice while serving people beyond its immediate community.
