Refuge Church is a St. Charles congregation where people encounter God through preaching, singing, responsive readings, Communion, and gospel community. Students in grades six through twelve meet Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. A New to Refuge Cafe is held after selected 10:00 services with a light lunch and conversation with church leaders; the events calendar gives the actual date. Women’s Bible studies, craft gatherings, and other groups are term-based or monthly rather than continuous. Families should therefore confirm whether the older elementary class meets on their chosen Sunday while knowing that younger-child care is described as available throughout the service. Communion and responsive readings distinguish the worship format from an auditorium gathering built only around music and a sermon.
