First Christian Church

About this church

First Christian Church of Union worships Sunday at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. at 150 Joel Avenue, with a Facebook livestream also available. Guest parking is located on the north and west sides. The church describes dress as casual and offers coffee in the lobby; families checking in children are encouraged to arrive about fifteen minutes early. Secure, background-checked children’s environments for birth through fifth grade operate during both services. Visitors are welcomed without being singled out or pressured to give.

Students may attend a youth class at 9:00 before joining the 10:30 service. During the school year, the “212” student gathering meets Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The congregation was organized on April 6, 1930, after beginning as a Bible School, and moved to its present location in 1970. Its roots are in the independent Christian Church tradition, with a mission of making disciples who love God and love other people. Adult groups, prayer, men’s and women’s ministries, and service opportunities round out the weekly life. Confirm school-year and holiday calendars online.
