St. Joseph Neier Catholic Church

About this church

St. Joseph Neier Catholic Church in Union celebrates a 5 p.m. Saturday Mass and Sunday Mass at 10:30 a.m. Daily Mass is offered Monday and Friday at 6:30 a.m. The parish invites people into worship, fellowship, and community rather than presenting Mass as an isolated weekly event. Its online bulletin provides Eucharistic teaching and current announcements, while an opt-in text service distributes timely updates; anyone planning around holy days or seasonal events should use those channels to confirm changes.

The parish traces its local Catholic story to Jesuit ministry beginning in 1834. Today its Christian Service Commission teaches that baptism carries a responsibility to active service and encourages every parishioner to participate rather than leaving outreach to a small committee. Faith formation includes a Parish School of Religion and connections to area Catholic education. The parish hall functions as a community space, supporting the fellowship side of parish life alongside sacramental worship. For a first visit, the 10:30 Sunday Mass is the clearest entry point; people who prefer an early, quieter weekday liturgy can choose Monday or Friday at 6:30 and review the bulletin before traveling.
