Evangelical Free Church

About this church

Evangelical Free Church of Sidney meets at 2763 Eleventh Avenue. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:00 a.m., followed by worship at 10:00 and an evening prayer gathering at 6:00 p.m. Nursery care for infants through age four is available during Sunday School and worship. Children ages four through second grade may take part in children’s church during the 10:00 service. The congregation recommends arriving a few minutes early so volunteers can help families locate classrooms and the nursery.

The children’s program extends into the school year through AWANA, beginning with the preschool year before kindergarten and continuing through sixth grade. Teenagers have a separate youth ministry centered on Bible study, relationships, service, and activities. Adult opportunities include small groups, women’s and men’s ministries, missions, prayer, music, and recreation. The church belongs to the Evangelical Free Church of America and describes its purpose as making disciples who know Christ and make him known. Since ministry calendars vary by season, prospective visitors should consult the events page or contact the office for current AWANA and youth meeting times.
