Community Presbyterian Church

About this church

Community Presbyterian Church of Edison worships Sundays at 10:00 a.m. at 75 Glenville Road. The front parking lot leads to the main entrance on the building’s right side, opposite the gazebo. A typical service lasts about 70 minutes and combines contemporary praise songs with a fairly traditional bulletin-guided service. Dress ranges from jeans and shorts to business casual. A ramp, multilevel elevator, and greeter assistance support wheelchair access.

Children and babies remain with their families during worship and are invited forward for a short message; there is no separate worship-hour childcare. Communion, usually on the first Sunday, uses bread and grape juice and is open to baptized believers. After most services from September through June, adults and youth continue with intergenerational Christian education downstairs while childcare and snacks are provided. Communion Sundays substitute a half-hour coffee gathering. The PC(USA) congregation describes itself as family-oriented and multicultural, and links community involvement to AA, GriefShare, and food assistance for Edison residents. Online services, sample bulletins, and explicit guidance about declining hand-holding or Communion help visitors anticipate potentially unfamiliar moments without pressure.
