Macedonia Baptist Church

About this church

Macedonia Baptist Church is a Mount Vernon congregation founded in 1913 and known for the motto “Where everybody is somebody and Christ is all.” Its mission joins gospel proclamation, discipleship, biblical teaching, evangelism, baptism, missions, service, and scholarship. More than a century of local ministry supports its goal of being a community beacon where people grow through prayer, faith, Scripture, and Christian knowledge.

Early Bird worship begins Sunday at 7:30 a.m. except on first and fifth Sundays. Sunday School for preschool through adults meets from 9:00 to 9:45, followed by morning worship at 10:00 in the sanctuary and through the church’s livestream. Communion worship is reflected in the current media archive. On Wednesday, Lunch with Jesus begins at 11:30 a.m. with teaching and fellowship around a meal, and Bible Study meets at 7:00 p.m. to examine Scripture in its historical setting and apply it to present life. The early-service exception is important: first- and fifth-Sunday visitors should use the 10:00 gathering unless the church announces something different. Current dated recordings on the official site confirm an active 2026 worship schedule.
