United Methodist Church of New City

About this church

New City's United Methodist hybrid service begins at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at 76 New City-Congers Road and through Zoom. The church has used both its sanctuary and Fellowship Hall for in-person gatherings, so guests should confirm the current room while relying on the consistent hybrid hour. An online newsletter connects members with activities, ideas, and schedule changes across the congregation.

Children from prekindergarten through sixth grade begin in worship and may move after the children's message to a hosted Children's Church Table near the worship space for activities tied to that day's theme. Sunday School operates seasonally during the 10:30 service, with each new program year announced separately. Mission work includes Food Pantry Sunday on the first Sunday of each month, when nonperishable goods may be brought to worship or left at the office entrance during the preceding week. A changing monthly mission directs focused giving to organizations such as Mercy Ships, while small-group gatherings include periodic conversation and worship for grades six through high school. A first-time household can attend onsite or join through Zoom, keeping children in the main gathering or using the supervised table when offered. Checking the latest newsletter is the best way to verify the worship room, Sunday School season, youth date, and current monthly outreach partner.
