Redemption Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith

About this church

Redemption Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith is a Watervliet congregation that began as a kitchen-table Bible study in 1972 and moved to its present Sixth Avenue campus in 2007. Its worship blends traditional hymns and contemporary music with preaching intended to apply biblical teaching to life. Sunday School begins at 10:30 a.m. and worship at noon. Women of Faith and Men of Honor meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., and Wednesday Bible study begins at 7. Radio broadcasts extend the ministry on weekends.

The congregation has an unusually broad education and service footprint. Redemption Christian Academy began in 1979 and developed into a day and boarding school. Soup for Seniors has delivered thousands of meals across the Capital District, while community outreach has offered hot meals and personal-care packages for neighbors in need. Children and teen programs include Pathfinders, Teens Loving Christ, Daughters of Virtue, Sons of Redemption, Sunday School, and nursing-home visits. Domestic and international mission work supports spiritual, educational, and physical needs. The official visitor page promises a welcoming environment but does not specify service length, dress, parking, accessibility, nursery care, child security, Communion practice, or livestream timing. Some outreach pages retain older running totals and crisis-era schedules, so use the current service and event pages when planning participation.
