About this church

St. Ann Catholic Church in Edenton celebrates a 4:00 p.m. Saturday Mass in the parish hall and Sunday Masses at 8:30 a.m. in the hall, 10:00 a.m. in the church, and 12:30 p.m. in Spanish. Daily Mass is offered Tuesday through Friday at 9:00, with the Rosary or Liturgy of the Hours before selected days. Confession is available Saturday from 3:00 to 3:45 or by appointment.

Completed in 1858, St. Ann is identified by the Diocese of Raleigh as its oldest structure in continuous use as a Catholic church. The parish shares ministry with All Souls Mission in Columbia and describes its purpose as forming missionary disciples through love, word, and sacrament. Eucharistic Adoration is offered Monday afternoon and after Thursday Mass, with First Friday and First Saturday devotions adding monthly rhythms. The St. Vincent de Paul conference visits and assists people facing poverty, while a women's club, choir, faith formation, altar servers, hospitality, and visual-enhancement teams support parish life. Visitors should distinguish the hall and church locations listed for each Mass and use the current bulletin for seasonal changes.
