Battleground Community Church

About this church

Battleground Community Church in Kings Mountain gathers for Sunday worship at 11 a.m. The service uses a blended modern style, pairing older hymns with recent worship songs and original music; the band, vocalists, audio, lighting, presentation, and livestream teams work together to connect music with the sermon. Teaching normally follows books of the Bible through expositional series. Children can worship and grow through Battleground Community Kids, while adults can use on-campus growth groups and recurring gatherings for families, men, and women.

Planted more than a decade ago to serve eastern Cleveland County, the church defines its purpose as Christ-exalting worship, growth in biblical community, and going with the gospel to all peoples. Scripture is central to its stated beliefs and practice. Battleground Community Outreach connects the Great Commission with love of neighbor and organizes local service rather than treating mission only as travel. Sunday evenings bring students in grades six through twelve together from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for Bible study, discussion of the morning sermon, relationships, and service in both church and community. Student participants also help with children's check-in, worship, technology, and other Sunday roles. A newcomer can attend the 11 a.m. service and hear the current sermon series before choosing a group. Families with teenagers should note that student ministry returns to campus in the evening instead of meeting during the main worship hour.
