Zion's Tabernacle Baptist Church

About this church

Zion's Tabernacle Baptist Church is a Lumberton congregation affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, and the Robeson Baptist Association. Its motto, “A Living Witness of God's Glory,” connects glorifying God with sharing Christ locally and beyond. Five adult Sunday School classes, nursery, children's ministry, EPIC youth, men's and women's mission groups, music, and community projects give each age a place to learn or serve. The church follows the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as its doctrinal statement.

Sunday School begins at 9:00 a.m. in the Education Building for children and youth and the Fellowship Hall for adults; worship follows at 10:00 in the sanctuary. On the third Sunday of each month except July, a free all-ages breakfast is served at 8:00. Wednesday children's groups, EPIC youth, and adult Bible study begin at 7:00 p.m., followed by choir and praise-team practice at 8:00. A free supper is offered at 6:00 on the first Wednesday of each month except July. Those meal exceptions matter for summer planning: regular class and worship hours continue, but visitors should not assume breakfast or supper is available during July.
