Lakeside Baptist Church

About this church

Lakeside Baptist Church is a Rocky Mount congregation that identifies with Baptist tradition while intentionally drawing from the richness of other Christian traditions in worship and service. It describes itself as a community on a journey of faith, seeking to model and proclaim the gospel through gathered worship and care beyond denominational lines. Children, youth, music, mission partners, and ecumenical community work provide avenues beyond Sunday morning.

Sunday worship begins at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary and is also livestreamed; previous services remain available through the worship archive. The official site does not publish a separate recurring Sunday School hour or detailed nursery schedule, so families should ask the church about current children’s arrangements rather than infer them. Children’s activities throughout the year combine learning, relationships, congregational participation, and community service. Lakeside Youth Fellowship uses Bible study, discussion, creative work, mission projects, and social time, but the youth page is organized around a dated program year instead of one permanent weekly hour. Ministry partnerships connect the congregation with local and wider organizations serving people outside its walls. Visitors planning around a special Sunday or holiday should check the current-events page, since the stable 11:00 worship time does not guarantee that every age-based ministry meets each week.
