St. Jude's MCC

About this church

St. Jude's MCC worships Sundays at 10:00 a.m. in Wilmington and streams the service on Facebook and YouTube. A fifteen-minute prayer service meets on Zoom Wednesdays at noon. The first Sunday of each month includes a potluck brunch after worship, and guests are invited to bring a dish or simply come for conversation. The congregation describes itself as inclusive and embracing, seeking to provide a spiritual home for all people and explicitly connecting Christian faith with diversity, belonging, love, and practical community support.

Feeding ministries are the clearest expression of that support. The food pantry opens on the first and third Tuesdays from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. Ready-to-eat lunches go to people without shelter every Wednesday and Saturday, while Friday breakfast and showers run from 9:00 to 11:00. St. Jude's reports assisting more than 150 people each week and distributing over 36,400 meals through its Tuesday food work in the past year. Volunteers can help prepare food, organize drives, raise funds, or donate. For visitors looking for an affirming MCC congregation, the combination of hybrid worship, monthly table fellowship, and substantial hunger outreach provides unusually specific evidence of the church's priorities.
