First Baptist Church

About this church

First Baptist Church is a downtown Wilson congregation seeking to grow in Christlikeness, welcome people into Christian community, and share God's love across the city and world. Sunday worship, children’s formation, youth music and study, mission partnerships, and recovery meetings make the South Nash Street campus active beyond the main service. The congregation’s ministry pages connect worship with practical involvement in local agencies and wider Baptist mission work rather than treating Sunday attendance as the end of church life.

Sunday worship begins at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary and is also streamed online. Youth Sunday School meets at 9:15 on the third floor. During the school year, children share dinner from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sundays and continue with age-appropriate programming until 7:00. Youth praise-band practice begins at 5:00, followed by youth group at 6:00. The building also hosts Alcoholics Anonymous in the basement on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Families and online visitors should use the worship page for the current service link and check church announcements when holidays or seasonal programs affect the ordinary weekly rhythm.
