High Street Church of Christ

About this church

High Street Church of Christ in Chillicothe holds Sunday morning worship at 10:45 a.m., with nursery care available. Junior Church and a youth service begin at the same hour, giving children and teenagers parallel options while adults worship. The official site extends a direct invitation to people without a church home and describes its services as preparation for victorious Christian living. Because the website uses an older design and publishes only a compact recurring schedule, visitors should contact the church for Sunday School timing, accessibility, and any evening programs before relying on archived calendar items.

The congregation's roots reach to 1903, when a Ross County group began meeting in a storefront at Park and Arch streets around a holiness belief in sanctification as a second work of grace. It moved to Allen Avenue and High Street in 1915, then to the present North High Street property in 1918. A major 1968 project added a new sanctuary, basement, and parking. That history and the site's CCCU address identify the church with the Church of Christ in Christian Union tradition, correcting the directory's unspecified affiliation. The public pages are strongest on worship time and history rather than current program detail, so a practical first visit is the single 10:45 Sunday hour, with nursery, Junior Church, and youth arrangements confirmed on arrival.
