The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Springfield, Ohio

About this church

In Springfield, Ohio, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meets at 4400 Derr Road, about 19.1 miles from the nearest other meetinghouse the directory lists, in London. Wheelchair-accessible entry, parking, restrooms, and seating are all available on site.

The Springfield 1st Ward opens the day at 9 a.m., and the Springfield 2nd Branch, which holds its meeting in Haitian, follows at 11:15 a.m. A sacrament meeting fills about an hour, with hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks from congregation members, and a second hour of classes follows, Primary included for children. There is no fee to attend, and no collection plate is passed. Two congregations sharing one building at different hours reflects how these groups are organized by area. As these times are set locally and occasionally revised, confirming by phone before a first visit is a good habit.
