First Church

About this church

First Church in Owasso is an independent Christian church that holds Sunday worship at 8:15, 9:45 and 11:15 a.m., with each service offered both on site and online. The congregation traces its roots back more than a century to a local schoolhouse. A typical service runs about an hour and includes worship music, communion, a welcome with information for first-time guests, a Bible-based message and a closing time to respond. Services are also rebroadcast on Sunday afternoon and evening and on Monday night; confirm the current schedule on the website before visiting.

First Years and First Kids care for children from infancy through fifth grade during services. Families coming for the first time are encouraged to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to check in with the guest services team, and online pre-check-in is also available. First Students holds a Sunday 9:45 a.m. Bible study for junior high and senior high students. Adults are pointed toward small groups that meet across the 918 area, with Base Camp suggested as the starting point for anyone new to groups. A Discovery class explains the church's beliefs, history and vision for those considering membership, and baptism is by immersion. Outreach runs through LOVE918 locally and a global outreach ministry, and a care ministry is available. Past sermons can be watched or heard online.
