Hutchinson Memorial U.A.M.E. Church

About this church

Hutchinson Memorial U.A.M.E. Church offers Sunday School for all ages at 9 a.m. and worship at 10 at 825 East Chestnut Street in Coatesville. Wednesday Bible study begins at 7 p.m. The church office is generally open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and separate telephone numbers are published for the sanctuary, fellowship hall, and parsonage. Those direct contacts are useful because the congregation's official website is concise and does not provide detailed visitor logistics or current event registration.

The congregation identifies with the Union American Methodist Episcopal Church and says it has served the Lord for 193 years. Its mission combines preaching, teaching, spiritual nurture, healing, and deliverance with feeding hungry neighbors, providing clothing, responding to shelter needs, visiting people who are sick, incarcerated, or lonely, and improving the wider community. Participation is organized through stewards, trustees, church-school staff, a missionary society, usher and finance teams, men's fellowship, and several music groups. Those groups include a gospel choir, men's choir, youth choir, combined choir, praise team, and musicians. A newcomer can arrive for the 9 o'clock all-age class and remain for 10 o'clock worship, then call the office before relying on a choir or ministry meeting time, since the site names teams but does not publish their recurring schedules.
