Doylestown United Methodist Church

About this church

Doylestown United Methodist Church offers three distinct Sunday services in person and online: Uplifting Worship at 9 a.m., a Liturgical Service at 10:10, and Word & Worship at 11:11. Uplifting pairs Sounds of Faith with Scripture and a pastoral message; the liturgical hour uses traditional hymns, prayers, Scripture, and sermon; Word & Worship features Power of Grace, reflection, and preaching. Recordings remain available afterward. During summer, the 9 a.m. service moves outdoors and is not livestreamed, so online visitors should choose a later service then.

The 9 a.m. hour also includes the Wesley adult Bible class, preschool-through-sixth-grade Sunday school, and Fusion for grades seven through twelve. Fusion students begin with congregational music before moving to hands-on learning with hot chocolate, coffee, and doughnuts; it pauses on first and third Sundays. At 11:11, children in kindergarten through sixth grade leave after music for a Bible-story video, popcorn, games, and crafts. Volunteer children's teachers are background checked and Safe Sanctuaries trained. Monthly mission giving currently supports disaster response, migration, health, food security, and environmental work through UMCOR. Families should select a worship style and children's format together, since each hour has a different structure.
