Calvary Assembly of God Church

About this church

Calvary Assembly of God meets at 116 Snider Avenue in Waynesboro. Sunday Impact Bible Studies begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by worship at 10:00 with nursery and Impact Kids Church for preschool through fifth grade. Families worship together at the start, then children are dismissed to their program. Wednesday Impact Family BLAST runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. with Bible study for the family and a light dinner; Impact Youth meets from 6:00 to 7:30 in the youth room. The church asks for BLAST sign-ups but says they are not required.

Calvary’s vision is to equip people to make an impact with God’s love. Alongside worship and age-group programs, the site lists small groups, grief support, prayer, men’s and women’s gatherings, and a monthly young-adult meeting. The congregation currently reports monthly support for twenty-three foreign missionaries and fourteen national or local ministries. Its roots reach back to tent meetings in 1906; the church entered the General Council of the Assemblies of God in 1930 and adopted its present name in 1957. That long Pentecostal history, paired with clearly published family programming, gives newcomers a useful sense of both identity and weekly rhythm.
