Orrs Baptist Church

About this church

Orrs Baptist Church is a Baptist congregation in Chester with roots reaching to January 1918, when twenty members organized after gathering around a traveling preacher at a local home. Its historic chapel incorporates material from an earlier building near Orrs Station, and the present campus reflects several generations of expansion. Today the church describes itself as a loving fellowship seeking to grow God’s kingdom and serve the community. Ministries span children, youth, discipleship, prayer, and Bible study, with nursery care available for younger children.

Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:45 a.m., followed by morning worship at 10:45. Sunday evening discipleship training is at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday prayer meeting and children’s and youth classes all begin at 6:30. For a first visit, the church says dress ranges from jeans to suits and generally trends business casual. Accessible parking is near the doors, and a ramp supports wheelchair access. Visitors should use the current events page to confirm holiday or special-program changes to this regular weekly pattern.
