First Baptist Church of Hartsville

About this church

First Baptist Church of Hartsville offers Sunday School and small groups from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m., followed by a multigenerational blended worship service from 10:30 to 11:30. Newborns through age four use the nursery in the former choir room of the sanctuary building. Older children check in beneath the Family Life Building portico and can join 1st Kids worship at 10:30, with its own music, teaching, and activities. Wednesday at 6 p.m. brings children's music and missions, including dinner, while Impact Student Ministry meets in The Cave for dinner, games, worship, a large-group lesson, and smaller discussions.

For doctrine, the church points to the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention. Its mission is to help people love God, love others, and make disciples equipped to reach the world, with a vision of belonging, connection, growth, and local-to-global impact. The campus sits on East Home Avenue, and the official directions distinguish approaches from Darlington, Florence, Lamar, and other surrounding routes. A first-time family should plan extra minutes because nursery care and older-child check-in are in different buildings. Adults can begin in a Sunday class before the main service, while parents who prefer to keep children with them can ask greeters about the current blended-worship arrangement. Wednesday participants should confirm whether dinner registration is required for the current program term.
