Bible Baptist Church

About this church

Bible Baptist Church on Hilton Head Island begins Sundays with age-specific Bible classes at 9:30 a.m., followed by morning worship at 10:45 and an evening service at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday Bible study and prayer meet at 7:00. The church presents a conservative, Bible-centered Baptist approach and recognizes that its resort-island setting brings visitors from across the country and around the world. Children in primary and junior grades, teenagers, and adults have separate Sunday School settings; the adult class moves through Bible books, biblical people, or subjects connected with daily life.

The congregation was chartered in summer 1988 after first meeting in rented space at Hilton Head Elementary School. Its first service in the current building took place October 21, 2001. Local outreach includes weekly visitation, while missions extend the church’s work beyond the Lowcountry. Vacation Bible School combines Scripture memory, teaching, games, and an adventure-comedy program for children and families. Visitors can preview recent preaching through the online sermon archive before attending. Bible Baptist is at 2800 Main Street, convenient to Hilton Head and Bluffton; confirm special-program dates on the official site, since Vacation Bible School and other outreach events are seasonal rather than part of the normal weekly schedule.
