St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church

About this church

St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church is a Hilton Head Island parish with an extensive weekend Mass schedule, sacramental life, music, youth ministry, charitable collections, and direct care for older neighbors. Its Friendly Visitor Ministry brings conversation, prayer, and companionship to people in homes, assisted-living communities, and skilled-nursing facilities, sometimes partnering parish-school students with residents.

Saturday Vigil Mass begins at 4:45 p.m., followed by a Spanish-language Mass at 7:00. Sunday Masses are celebrated at 7:30, 9:00, 10:30, and noon. Confession is available Saturday from 3:30 to 4:30 in the church confessionals. The principal parish choir sings at 10:30 from September through Corpus Christi and rehearses Thursdays, while the Hispanic Ensemble practices Friday at 6:30 and leads the Saturday Spanish liturgy. The homepage publishes holiday exceptions—for example, a single 8:30 daily Mass on Labor Day—so weekday visitors should check current notices rather than rely on a normal pattern. People seeking a friendly visit can make a referral through the ministry page. Weekend travelers have several verified options, but should distinguish the Spanish service and seasonal choir schedule.
