The Grove

About this church

The Grove is a Christian Church congregation at 1116 Ben Barron Lane in Moncks Corner. Growth Groups meet Sunday at 9:15 a.m., followed by worship at 10:30; Wednesday programming begins at 6 p.m. when the Berkeley County school calendar is in session. The service blends music by newer Christian artists with hymns. Communion is shared every Sunday with bread and juice and is open to all believers. The church's Restoration Movement convictions also emphasize Scripture, Jesus as Messiah and Son of God, repentance, confession of faith, and immersion in baptism.

Visitors will see everything from Sunday-best clothing to jeans, T-shirts, flip-flops, and tennis shoes. Elementary-age children remain with their families through opening worship, then go with teachers to Grove Kids for the rest of the service. The congregation summarizes its purpose through three movements: restore distressed lives to Christ-centered life, thrive in a diverse fellowship of disciples, and multiply God's love locally and globally. Ten percent of tithes and offerings is directed to its Multiply partnerships and projects, which include pregnancy support, addiction recovery, food assistance, Christian camping, counseling, and international mission. Online worship is available when an in-person visit is not possible.
