Northwood Church

About this church

Northwood Church is a multigenerational, interdenominational Christian community now meeting in Summerville. Its Sunday services last about sixty-five minutes and combine modern music from the Northwood band with an encouraging, Scripture-based message. Lyrics appear on screen so newcomers can participate without knowing the songs. The church encourages casual dress and frames a first visit around practical hospitality from the parking area onward. Kids Ministry serves children from six weeks through fifth grade in age-appropriate environments designed for both safety and enjoyment.

Sunday services begin at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m., with children’s ministry available during both. Families checking in children for the first time should allow about ten extra minutes for the secure registration process. The current official site identifies the campus as 4020 2nd Avenue in Summerville, not the older Rivers Avenue directory address in North Charleston; navigation should therefore use the official Summerville location. Groups, youth, young-adult ministry, event registration, and giving are coordinated through the Church Center app. Visitors who want to understand the worship style can expect one hour of accessible modern music and teaching rather than a traditional liturgical service.
