Advent United Methodist Church is a Five Forks congregation organized around gathering in worship, growing in groups, and serving through missions. Chartered in 1987 as the Simpsonville area expanded, it now brings together people from varied backgrounds. Sunday services share the same sermon but use distinct musical language: the traditional hour is led by hymns, choir, organ, piano, and handbells, while the modern hour uses a live praise band and a more informal setting. Both services stream online.

Traditional worship begins Sunday at 9:00 a.m. and modern worship at 10:30. Advent Kids LifeGroups and nursery care are available during both hours in the Education Building, where first-time families use a visitor check-in; the nursery serves children from six weeks through age two. Parking surrounds the campus and continues behind the Christian Life Center. From August through May, students in grades six through twelve gather there Sunday from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m. for dinner, games, music, Scripture, and LifeGroups. A middle- and high-school Devotions and Donuts group also meets Sunday from 9:00 to 10:00. September-through-May children’s midweek programming begins Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
