Harrison Christian Church

About this church

Harrison Christian Church, an independent Christian congregation at 2517 Browns Mill Road in Johnson City, holds Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 10:30, both in person with the service also on Facebook Live. Nursery care is available. Elementary children have Sunday school followed by multimedia Kid Worship, except on fifth-Sunday Family Sundays when they help lead music and take part in the main service. The preschool worship program is currently marked postponed, so families with ages two through five should confirm available care before visiting.

The church's purpose is connecting people to Jesus Christ, one another, and the community, with programming from young children through senior adults. Its children's ministry turns that connection outward: kids support a sponsored child in Thailand, send letters and supplies to active-duty service members, thank veterans, collect necessities for low-income babies, and make cards for sick or homebound members. The regular Wednesday youth group is also currently marked postponed; during summer, students join the all-church 6:30 p.m. meal, while camps and special events continue through the calendar. Broader missions combine aid to local organizations, Christian student ministry, service to people in need, and short-term work.
