St. William Catholic Church

About this church

St. William Catholic Church in Millington celebrates a Saturday vigil Mass at 4:30 p.m. and Sunday Masses at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. Weekday Mass is offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:30 a.m. and Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30. First Friday Adoration begins after the morning Mass and continues until a 4:45 p.m. Divine Mercy Hour and Benediction. The parish’s liturgical ministries include altar servers, lectors, musicians, ushers, gift bearers, and commissioned Eucharistic ministers who also bring Communion to people who are sick or homebound.

The parish began as a mission serving Millington residents and Navy and Marine personnel. Mass was first celebrated locally in a theater in 1949; parishioners later helped build the church and school, and the present church hosted its first Mass on Thanksgiving Day in 1954. Faith formation continues across generations. High-school students meet Sundays from 9:45 to 10:45 and take part in service projects, liturgical roles, retreats, and a monthly evening gathering. Adults who teach or assist with minors complete “Protecting God’s Children” training. This combination of daily Mass, Eucharistic devotion, military-community roots, and active youth participation gives St. William a distinctive parish profile.
