Winchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church

About this church

Winchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church offers three Sunday services at 200 Second Avenue NW: traditional worship in the sanctuary at 8:30 and 11 a.m., plus creative worship in the Family Life Center at 9. Across those settings, the congregation describes a common pattern of singing praise, sharing prayer requests, listening for God's Word, and celebrating the sacraments. The range lets visitors choose between a traditional sanctuary service and a creative format without leaving the same church community.

Known locally as the CP Church, the congregation teaches the gospel of Jesus Christ and seeks to help both church and community know him. Its stated vision is an authentic community transformed by the gospel. The beliefs page places that mission within a covenant understanding of grace, describing God as revealed through Scripture and uniquely in Jesus Christ, and the church as a community restored through Christ's reconciliation. Service is also part of Winchester CP's public identity: it responds to needs nearby while supporting mission work around the world, and its campus includes Adventures in Learning Preschool. A first-time guest can select the worship style and hour that fit best, then look for service or education connections after becoming acquainted with the congregation.
