Heights Baptist Church

About this church

Heights Baptist Church in Alvin holds Sunday worship at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m., with Life Groups offered at both hours. Services last about 75 minutes and combine traditional and contemporary songs, prayer, a Bible-centered message, and an invitation to pray either at one's seat or with someone at the front. Clothing varies from T-shirts and jeans to business casual and dresses. Buildings are labeled, and greeters at the Worship Center can direct newcomers to seating or the children and student check-in areas.

HeightsKIDS offers different learning formats at the two Sunday hours: first- through fifth-graders use discussion-based small groups at 9:00 and a larger digital lesson at 10:30, while birth-through-kindergarten rooms operate during both. The church also provides trained buddies so children with disabilities can participate in its ministries, and families may schedule a facility tour before Sunday. Safety practices include background checks and organized check-in and checkout. Midweek children's programming runs Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. For families comparing churches south of Houston, those accessibility and preparation details are especially useful: the site explains not only when services meet, but how children with varied ages, learning styles, and support needs can take part.
